About Alpha Sigma GmbH

Who we are

The company Alpha Sigma GmbH was born from an idea to produce inexpensive and environmentally friendly fiber composite components without sacrificing weight or stiffness. During his studies at the West Saxon University and beyond, Fabian Liesch worked on the development of a technical and economic series production of basalt fiber composite components. The founding team of Alpha Sigma GmbH worked in prototype construction for many years and was involved in Formula Student in addition to their studies. With the technology developed by Fabian Liesch and his economic skills, he decided in 2013 to found a company together with a partner. With the application to the Saxon Development Bank for a technology founder grant and approval in summer 2015, another cornerstone was laid for the company. The company Alpha Sigma with the legal form GmbH was founded in Zwickau in November 2015. Since then, the company has been growing continuously. performances Do you need support in implementing your project from the drawing to the finished product? Make an appointment with us in-house! Let yourself be impressed by our expertise! We offer our customers both the production of fiber composite components and advice as a partner at your side when it comes to implementing a project. Right from the development phase, we implement your or our designer's wishes technologically. In doing so, we have focused on rational and cost-saving manufacturing methods that are in balance with the required framework conditions. The right material for the components, as well as the molding tools, is adapted to the customer's requirements. Molding tools made of PU foam are used, as well as aluminum, steel or casting resins. The molding tools are designed and manufactured in-house according to design specifications. For oversized tools, we have competent partners who can also produce oversized molding tools by cutting. The components are manufactured by trained personnel and high quality standards in individual or series production. Components are primarily manufactured using a resin infusion process, which has the advantage that the components can be manufactured at a constant temperature and continuous monitoring. This results in a high reproducibility of the results. It is also easy to use different resins and/or fibers in this process. In our company, we process natural fibers such as basalt, jute, hemp or flax as well as technical fibers made from carbon, high-performance polyethylene, aramid or glass. We are also able to produce composite components in accordance with fire protection standards, i.e. non-combustible fiber composites with high strength and temperature resistance. As sandwich core material, we use commercial Lantor materials via 3D Core, but also honeycomb structures and alternative materials, such as paper honeycombs or wood. If you need a design of components or molding tools with FEM analysis, we will be happy to assist you as a competent partner. Project support at home and abroad is also part of the portfolio offered by Alpha Sigma GmbH. The trusting handling of your data plays an important role, especially in prototype construction. We do justice to this fact in many ways. Talk to us personally and confidentially. We will find the right solution for your problem.
