Who we are
CAROBBIO S.R.L. – SHEET METAL TECHNOLOGY AND EXPERTISE SINCE 1955 Carobbio S.r.l. is an Italian contract manufacturer specialising in sheet metal processing, based in Bergamo, at the heart of one of Northern Italy's leading industrial areas. Since 1955, we have supported industrial companies, manufacturers and designers in the production of sheet metal components and assemblies, from individual parts and prototypes to recurring production batches, combining manufacturing experience, flexibility and advanced technology. Our facility covers a total company-owned area of 10,000 m², including 4,000 m² of covered production space. We process more than 1,800 tonnes of sheet metal every year. OUR MAIN MANUFACTURING CAPABILITIES • 2D fibre laser cutting up to 6 kW, working area 1500 × 3000 mm • CO₂ laser cutting with the capability to process components up to 10,000 mm through repositioning • CNC punching up to 30 tonnes • CNC press brake bending from 1,000 up to 10,000 mm • Sheet metal rolling up to 8,000 mm • Coil levelling and straightening up to 1,500 mm width and 2 mm thickness • Guillotine shearing up to 4,100 mm • MIG and TIG welding • Robotic welding with a dual-station cobot system Our fibre laser department is equipped with an automated 200-pallet storage and feeding tower, supporting production continuity and efficient material management. MATERIALS We mainly process: • carbon steel • stainless steel • aluminium • galvanised steel • pre-painted steel • weathering steel / Corten • copper • bronze • titanium Our laser cutting capabilities cover thicknesses approximately from 0.5 to 25 mm, with particular expertise in thin and medium-gauge sheet metal. FROM SINGLE COMPONENTS TO RECURRING PRODUCTION Our production organisation enables us to handle prototypes and small batches as well as recurring industrial production. We place particular emphasis on repeat orders, supporting customers with scheduled production, batch optimisation and continuity of supply. Our ERP system monitors manufacturing operations, processing times and production costs, while digital shop-floor management supports traceability and production efficiency. LARGE-FORMAT SHEET METAL PROCESSING One of Carobbio's distinctive capabilities is the production of components exceeding standard sheet metal dimensions. Thanks to laser cutting with repositioning, bending capabilities up to 10 metres and sheet rolling up to 8 metres, we can manufacture long components while reducing joints and subsequent operations whenever technically possible. This capability is particularly valuable for architectural applications, façades and building envelopes, industrial sheet metal applications and projects requiring long sheet metal components.
