Cromogalante S.r.l. has been operating in the electroplating and surface treatment industry for over fifty years. Today, it stands as one of the leading and most highly regarded specialists in hard chrome plating (also known as thick chrome plating) for functional purposes. Our staff’s expertise, high processing quality, and commitment to client satisfaction—combined with rapid and punctual order fulfillment—are the core strengths that have driven the company’s steady growth. This success has allowed the firm to export its know-how to international markets; notably, in 2005, the German subsidiary Motepa GmbH was established, specializing in functional chrome plating for hydraulic and oleodynamic rods and cylinders. Hard chrome—often referred to as thick or functional-technical chrome—represents the company’s core business. This process is generally used to enhance the physical, technical, and dimensional characteristics of the metallic substrate through the electrochemical deposition of metallic chromium. As detailed in the dedicated section, this deposit offers a unique set of properties that, given current technology, remain irreplaceable across numerous industrial sectors. To complement the electroplating process, Cromogalante performs in-house grinding and polishing of chromed components and other materials. Providing these processes in-house is crucial to ensuring a high-quality product alongside a fast and reliable service.
