Who we are
Along with fretsawing and woodcarving, woodturning is the most important form of traditional woodworking in Erzgebirge folk art. We are committed to this tradition and carry it on using modern techniques. Even before the company was founded in 1986, Frieder Kuhnert was already woodturning figures featuring Erzgebirge motifs. In addition to preserving tradition, we focus on the highest quality and contemporary design. With this in mind, we consistently incorporate new materials and innovative processes into the development of our products. Our modern machinery now enables us to perform virtually all forms of woodworking. We fulfill individual customer requests in the production and processing of wood and veneer components, whether in small batches or large production runs. Our extensive product range includes various wooden figurines, incense burners, pyramids, light arches, angels, Easter bunnies, lanterns, tea light holders, craft kits for children, tree and bouquet decorations, lamps, and other decorative items. In addition to distributing to specialty retailers, we now have 7 retail locations and our online store at www.kuhnert.shop.
