Who we are
In 1992, the Diakonisches Werk Mecklenburg-Vorpommern eV and the former districts of Güstrow and Teterow merged to form our non-profit limited company. Up to 900 people are currently employed, promoted, taught, professionally qualified and supported by our facilities and services. In the district of Rostock, Güstrower Werkstätten GmbH operates workshops, day groups for people with mental and psychological disabilities, dormitories and ambulatory assisted living for people with mental and psychological disabilities, as well as an integrative day-care center and a school with a focus on mental development. As the sole shareholder of JAM GmbH, we are also active in the area of youth social work in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. In addition to professional rehabilitation, our facilities and services carry out a large number of measures for the stabilization and further development of the personality of the people entrusted to us: Music and dance therapy offers, creative design, cognitive and social training, remedial courses (reading, writing, arithmetic, typewriter and computer courses), relaxation therapy exercises, sports activities, swimming, horseback riding, table tennis and much more.
