Who we are

Kappstein, founded in 2012, is an innovative company based in Gotha / Thuringia, that specializes in the development and production of premium bike components with a focus on bike transmission technology. In our product portfolio, amongst others, you can find fixed gear and professional track cycling products, which were partly developed in cooperation with FES (German R&D Institute for the development of equipment for Germanys top athletes) and the German Cycling federation. Kappstein supplies Germany’s top athletes with high quality stainless steel sprockets as well as 7075 T6 aluminum chain rings (see pictures attached). Due to the close cooperation with professional athletes, we were able to achieve many successes down to the present day. Concerning the manufacturing, we have already gained a lot of practical experience with various interface standards such as 9 spline, sure fit and threading sprockets. Not only the short response time, the attractive price-performance ratio and our high-quality standards, also the short delivery channels to the Universal Transmission GmbH would represent an economic advantage. With Kappstein Gates would be able to access and all-in-one solution.
