About Metalldesign Schmitt
Who we are
As a family business, Metalldesign Schmitt deals in the broadest sense with the treatment and processing of metals of all kinds. The focus of our work is the construction and assembly of stair and balcony railings through to larger steel structures for industrial applications. We are suppliers to both industrial and private clients, but thanks to our modern machinery we can also provide various contract work services for other metalworking companies. In addition, we are also specialists in the construction of clean rooms or special custom-made products according to customer specifications. Our company Metalldesign Schmitt was founded in 2010 and is based in the restored ensemble of the former Saarbrücken-Burbach railway repair shop, which has been prepared for all kinds of businesses. With few exceptions, the well-preserved buildings date from the time when the factory was founded (1857) and thus contribute to the unmistakable character of the location. Metalldesign Schmitt has found optimal possibilities here for its production and working conditions. We deal with all types of metal processing. We have modern machines and well-trained specialist staff at our disposal for this purpose. We are a registered welding company and fundamentally certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. Especially for the complex requirements in the field of welding technology, we are certified as a specialist welding company according to DIN EN ISO 3834-3. We also have certificates from various regulated areas.
