Overview

About Mimest s.r.l

Who we are

Mimest was founded in 2005, as a start-up founded by 4 engineers. Its essence as an innovative and high-tech company soon led it to become the reference point in Italy for the MIM (Metal Injection Molding) technology, exploiting all the possibilities of applications in the manufacturing industry and, more recently, a pioneer in additive manufacturing. Mimest is today a reference company for MIM as well as a pioneer of additive manufacturing through binder Jetting. The Metal Injection Molding process was born from the meeting of the injection molding technology of thermoplastic polymeric materials and the sintering of metal powders with the aim of producing articles with complex shapes in high-performance materials otherwise difficult to work. Similarly, the "Binder Jetting" technology applies the same principle combined with the flexibility of 3D printing. The fields of application of the MIM process are many and all characterized by a high rate of innovation: medical, fashion-luxury, watchmaking, defense, aeronautics, motorsports – just to name a few. Mimest has developed strong collaborative relationships with companies in all these industries and developed specific knowledge on the materials that each customer needs, from the titanium necessary for medical applications to the stainless steels necessary for the luxury sector
