Who we are
Mimotec SA is a Swiss renowned microparts manufacturer which distinguishes itself by using an advanced proprietary electroforming technology called UV-LIGA. Founded in 1998, it has over 20 years of experience in producing the highest quality micro parts for various industries including watchmaking, medical, electronics, telecommunications, and thers. Mimotec produces over 2,500 different items every year, from microparts for watches to plastic injection micromoulds, as well as anti-counterfeiting solutions (CLR-Liga). The manufacturing technology used is called UV—LIGA and it consists of a combination of photolithography and material electroforming. The advantages of this method over the traditional machining techniques are its unrivaled level of accuracy and surface finish quality, lower manufacturing costs and better speed. These characteristics make it an ideal choice for rapid prototyping as well as for mass production, especially for highly precise areas such as manufacturing of medical equipment and watchmaking industry.
