About Rey Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG

Who we are

At the beginning of 1992, Jose Carlos Rey Gargamala founded the Rey Technical Office in Düsseldorf. From this origin, Garces and Rey GbR based in Ratingen developed in 1994. The company combined the services of a technical office with contract manufacturing using conventional machining and welding work — and thus laid the foundation for our current manufacturing expertise. The sustained good order situation enabled the expansion of the machine park to include the first CNC-controlled manufacturing systems in 1996 — a significant step towards modern series and precision technology. Until 2006, both the number of employees and the number of machines grew steadily and reached their highest level so far. In order to keep pace with growth, the company invested in a larger production hall at its current location in Ratingen in 2007. In 2009, the global economic crisis also presented major challenges for the manufacturing sector. But thanks to a dedicated team, entrepreneurial vision and financial stability, the company was able to successfully overcome this difficult phase. On 01.01.2016, the two shareholders of Garces and Rey GbR were separated by mutual agreement. Since then, the company has continued as an owner-managed family business under the name Rey Maschinenbau. With effect from 01.01.2021, the name was changed to Rey Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG.
