Who we are

“To be visionary” has always been a tradition in the Canton Glarus. No wonder – in the narrow valley for a wide horizon, especially one thing is needed: Visions. A fact which has brought Sauter Bachmann its internationally renowned name, since its foundation in 1922. We develop and produce gears, gearboxes and complex drive systems of highest quality. A competent engineering, the most modern production plant and a company-owned hardening division together with our specialists, are the base of our success, today as well as in the future. All our processes meet the internationally applicable certification standards in aviation and space as well as in the industry. About 50% of our products are exported, mainly to the USA and the EU.
