Who we are
The history of the company began in 1970 in Gerhard Ernst's basement with a lathe. After a few years, demand grew and the portfolio was expanded to include milling and grinding. The first hall was built in Harsum in 1983. In 1993 the business was handed over to the next generation and Thomas Ernst GmbH was founded. In the years that followed, the company was modernized by adding several CNC machines to its production. During this time, we primarily invested in grinding machines, but also in wire and die-sinking EDM. In 1996 a new, larger hall was built by Thomas Ernst, in which we still operate today. Over the next few years, grinding became the company's hobby. Thanks to many years of experience in various sectors such as the food industry, the automotive industry or the aviation industry, we are up to any task. The company is now in the transition to the third generation. By working with modern machines and CAD/CAM software, we can manufacture effectively. In addition to individual parts and series production, we also offer the manufacture of complete tools and devices.
