Main activities and products: Waeles Nederland BV is a QS9000 certified iron foundry, specialised in nodular cast iron products.
This certification signifies that we comply with one of the most significant standards laid down by the automotive industry.
Waeles offers a wide range of parts for various industries, including automotive, agriculture and mechanical engineering. When it comes to quantities as well as design, we are able to meet all your specific requirements. Net weight of our products ranges from 0.5 to 7 kgs.
Production process and technology: In order to melt nodular cast iron Waeles operates 4 induction furnaces, each having a capacity of approx. 3.5 tonnes. The core of our production is the DISA-Matic MK4 casting machine. This is a fully-automatic vertical casting machine that meets the requirements of high casting speed and great accuracy, thus enabling us to meet the customers requirements. Series from a few thousand units up to an annual volume of approx. 400,000 are possible either in form of raw castings or as completely finished products. After casting the products are cooled down in the AMC cooling section, a process that takes an average of 30 minutes. Next the castings arrive in a (cooling) drum which separates the moulding sand from the product.
