COMPANY PROFILE GUMOTEX, akciová společnost, is the succession company of the enterprise that set up its business with the production of protective clothing made from rubberized textiles in Břeclav in 1950. Since 1952 it has acted as an independent company under the name GUMOTEX. Initially it manufactured surface treated materials, later it launched the manufacture of inflatable products for sports in the leisure time e.g. air mattresses and inflatable boats. A big production expansion came up with the polyurethane foam production in the 60s and 70s of the last century, when the main partners of the company became the customers from the furniture and automotive industries. The company is the biggest national processor of polyurethane foam. For customers from the furniture industry several foam mattresses and various moulded parts are manufactured, for automotive sector several foam pads for seats, headrests, sun visors and other small parts for the vehicle interiors are made. The company manufactures rubber compounds and materials the surface of which is treated with special compounds and which are the basis for the manufacture of inflatable mattresses, various articles for sports and leisure time (inflatable boats, inflatable kayaks and canoes, rafting boats). The production range is completed with the production of special products, e.g. inflatable tents and boxes and any other pieces of equipment for the integrated rescue systems.
