Tomet’s machining processes guarantee a complete finished product, from the friction welding phase to turning, grinding, milling, knurling, rotor insertion, rotor turning and balancing. The company’s fleet with over 100 CNC machines used in the production of shafts, starts from the design phase and creation of prototypes up to the customer’s assembly line. Mechanical engineering firm, CMAA “Costruzioni Meccaniche Di Albani A. & c. S.r.l.”, was established in 1971 and currently occupies a 13,200m2, covered facility. The current site is south of Bergamo, in industrial estate 1 in the town of Zanica, within easy reach of the motorway exit and just 5km from Orio al Serio airport. Machining work is done primarily on CNC machines operated by highly qualified personnel, and backed up by a CAD-CAM system and a manufacturing engineering office dedicated to producing superior quality, reliable products for our customers. We are equipped to perform small and large-size machining of roller bearings, headpieces, fifth wheels for mills, parts for crushing hammer and pendulum motion oil mills, end-to-end construction of valves, columns, nuts, blocks, turbine shafts, etc. Our organisation also comprises in-house mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, installation and quality control teams, the latter using only certified instruments; with this structure, we can guarantee our clients turnkey products, which also extend to electrical and hydraulic systems.

Our precisely machined and accurately controlled individual parts are assembled with the supplied, controlled external parts and then tested. The end result is tested and perfectly functioning assemblies directly to the customer's assembly line.

Mechanical processing In order to ensure high-end quality in all processes, we equipped our mechanical processing department with a wide array of tools including CNC machines, machining centers, milling machines, traditional horizontal and vertical lathes, and EDM machines. Our chemistry lab Equipped as it is with quantometers and durometers for destructive and non-destructive tests, our laboratory performs highly accurate in-process as well as post-melting checks to ensure our alloys meet the highest possible standards.
