In the beginning, the company produced accessories for machine tools for companies such as Friz Heckert from Germany and Prvomajska in Zagreb. ITAS began producing its first machines in the mid-1970s. Initially, these were simpler, single-purpose machines such as edge grinders and drill sharpeners. Later, the company began producing universal milling machines and tool sharpening machines. The first NC/CNC machine tools and accessories were manufactured at the end of the 1980s, using both in-house solutions and modern global technological advancements.vDuring this period — a significant leap forward for the company — CNC milling machines and NC rotary indexing tables were developed. Under its current name, ITAS-PRVOMAJSKA d.d., the company has been operating since January 1st, 2007. The company covers an area of 25,860 m² and employs 116 people.
