The combination of our 4000-watt laser system from Trumpf with the Fladder-deburring providing its customers a number of special advantages: We can produce almost any shape. The material heats up hardly and does not warp. The cutting edges are straight, free of burrs and clean. The components can be processed immediately. Bending Bent parts can be found in technical applications in ever-increasing numbers. They enable materials, weight and cost savings. However, precisely bent sheet metal parts require extensive knowledge of materials, precise work preparation and true machine powerhouses. We work with a Trumpf press brake with 6-axis stop, automatic angle measurement system and 230 tons of pressure. In our work, preparing the optimum bend sequence is determined to create its processing using 3-D software. In addition to the geometry of the bending portion, the empirically determined characteristics of the material are considered. This can be programmed and produced within a very short time even complicated bent parts. Welding Stainless materials are now available in great variety. Exact knowledge of their behavior during welding are therefore a fundamental prerequisite for the quality-oriented performing welding operations. And: Stainless materials do not come around a corresponding weld-treatment if they are to remain rust-free. As specialists in stainless materials, we offer our clients professional solutions around the welding and finishing of steel and aluminum. We perform the welding process TIG, MAG and MIG and spot welding and stud welding. As a post-treatment process, we have preferably pickling and passivation, but also sanding or bead blasting. GKR STEEL s.r.o. is a Czech company founded in 1998, which specialises in made-to-order production of steel constructions, technological units and precise metalworking. The company has its seat in Roudnice nad Labem close to the D8 highway which guarantees good transport accessibility not only within the country itself but also within Europe. It is 50 kilometres away from Václav Havel Airport in Prague, 20 kilometres away from the freight port on the river Elbe which is further connected with rail freight transport. Czech border with Germany is 70 kilometres away. All production takes place in our own production facilities having the area of 8000 m². Thanks to our technological equipment we are able to offer the complete production process from the material procurement, its splitting, working, machining, pressing, welding, surface finish and the final assembly. We keep modernising our production tools and increase the production capacity. 80% of our production is exported. A brief introduction We employ metal machinists, a shortage occupation in metal industry nowadays, who produce small series of special parts on traditional machines. In this sector CNC machines are so widely used that there is a shortage of traditional machines and excess demand exists for them. With this in mind, we will purchase several traditional machines during our current developments to increase our capacity in this field. We, of course, have CNC machines as well and develop our machine pool regularly. Based on the orders received, we are able to draw up a production program for 1 month in advance and allocate our resources. Our customers basically include producers which manufacture special purpose machines for their customers (e.g. manufacturers in printing industry, shipyards, industrial scale manufacturers, food producers, automotive industry, manufacturers of medical equipment), and we produce components needed for these machines. BAT tobacco factory is included among our customers, and we manufacture wear/consumable parts required for their daily production. We produce components and subassemblies for medical equipment manufactured by Siemens and GE factories. Besides, we supply units for robotic production lines of AUDI and VW factories. The company had its first premises at the residence of the founders in Pécs. Production took place in a small workshop. At the beginning temporary workers were working in addition to a single permanent worker. The first orders we received involved simple processing of materials. In addition to manufacturing new products, we undertook and still undertake to carry out repair works. We undertook all works therefore outgrew the small workshop we used at the beginning, and in 2007 at Pécs-Hird we acquired our first production hall suitable for carrying out industrial activities with a floor space of approximately 250 m2. Here we were able to carry out production on a larger scale and serve more customers. Owing to our continuous progress and current developments, now the floor area of the production hall exceeds 1000 m2. Concerning work organization, our activities include manufacture and assembly of special-purpose products, machines and machine units. Therefore our machines and equipment are universal and able to satisfy all demands.
