The NRU GmbH was founded in 1992 as NRU precision technology GbR by the three partners Dr. Jürgen Jahn, Dr. Ludwig Kant and Dr. Hubert Zeidler. In 1999 2007, the company name, the company name was changed to Precision Technology GmbH NRU and renamed NRU GmbH. The objective at its foundation was, with new developments in the field of rapid prototyping, such as stereolithography to combine classical manufacturing methods such as casting, and so to allow effective production of investment castings in small quantities. Our plans for the future: Aiming for an increase in capacity, developing and enlarging the machine park is an important medium-term goal for Ironicon. As every firm relies on its employees, building up a good, functioning team is among the main long-term objectives. As part of the continuous expansion as well as in order to create a more livable work environment, steps are currently being taken to move in into a bigger, newer and more modern production hall. Ironicon Kft. was founded in 2015. Based on the founder’s national and international experience, the aim was to establish a modern, dynamically growing operation, with European standard and approaches. Only half a year later, a second CNC milling-machine was put into operation as a reaction to the drastic increase in orders. Thanks to repeated orders by regular customers as well the increasing of the customer base, Ironicon experienced constant growth from this point onwards, and was able to extend and modernize its machine park. When acquiring new machines, extraordinary attention is given to high quality in the measurement instruments and devices, for quality within adequate time can only be attained with quality infrastructure. By the third quarter of 2018, the work was already been done by four 3-axis machining centers as well as one 6-axis CNC longitude turner. All our machines can be controlled by Cam System, allowing a faster and more effective working process and eliminating the vast majority of production faults already before production. In December 2018 our firm came to another turning point when we bought two additional machining centers, which brought the total number of 3-axis machines to five. We also acquired our first 5-axis milling machine, which is also capable of manufacturing tolls as well as milling graphite. Punctuality and reliability are key to our success. Getting to know the customers’ needs and delivering the work with high precision and on-time are absolute priorities for our young, dynamic firm.

Custom manufacturing In view of our machine tools’ opportunity we can ensure the manufacturing of high-precision parts and the processing of small, medium and large workpieces. With our machines, which are suitable for 2D, 2,5D, 3D and 5D cutting, we are able to produce a wide variety of parts. For our technology we use various 3D-models, which are made available in our CAD/CAM-System by our customers, to increase our efficiency. Prototype Besides wage work, we undertake the initial manufacture of individual prototype products, based on model or drawing, machining optimatization including tools and technology. All machined parts are delivered including 3D coordinate measurement certificate. Device manufacturing Machining or measuring of complex parts may require various devices, therefore our engineers strive to develop the simplest yet most efficient devices. We have gained considerable experience through creating our own devices, which we use in single and series production. Our company undertake the design, production and installation of hydraulic and pneumatic devices as well. Serial production Our machine park is also capable of medium and large series production according to market demands. In series production, generally the most important tasks are the optimization of the machining time and the reduction of the non-productive time. During the processing we pay close attention to process safety and the use of the Poka-yoke principle.
