PMP Meccanica is a company headquartered in Lippo di Calderara in the province of Bologna, which was founded in 1961 starting to stamp sheet metal. With years the experience increases and to reduce the time of delivery and external machining PMP Meccanica starts to gear up internally for the production of molds refining the quality. Gradually this part of tooling evolves allowing also the production for other customers expanding its scope to pieces for multiple sectors such as aeronautical, medical, packaging, and sintering powders. Today, thanks to a cutting-edge machinery and capable staff, PMP Mechanics is a leader in the field of precision mechanics and in the normal and semi-fine blanking. Currently PMP Meccanica employs 50 people of which 30 are engaged in the tooling branch and 20 in the blanking. Rodex d.o.o. started as a trade workshop and developed into a modern technological family company with 83 employees. Our program started with simple windings and continued with its high volume serial production. The demands and needs of the market led us to manufacture of exacting products and today we produce various electromechanical and electronic devices. ZINC DIE-CASTING With zinc, extremely filigree or thin-walled, technically high-quality parts can be cast and a very high degree of accuracy is achieved. In addition, zinc die-casting guarantees high productivity even with small quantities and, thanks to its durability, is a very interesting economic process. At our location in Furtwangen, zinc die-cast parts with a part weight of up to 700 grams cast in die casting machines with a clamping force of 5 to 125 tons. With a maximum clamping area of 400 x 600 millimetres, we cast the alloy Z410. MIM - Metal Injection Moulding In series production, MIM opens up completely new technical possibilities - right up to highly complex geometries and always with optimised cost-effectiveness. Cross holes, internal and external threads, gear teeth and surface structures are easily integrated into the component by MIM. The process combines the freedom of plastic injection moulding with the properties of metals. At REINER, a selection of low-alloy and stainless steels is used here. PRECISION CUTTING with forming technology In the field of precision stamping and forming technology REINER offers a range of processes and technologies for high-precision stamped and bent parts. Fine punching, hydraulic bending processes, NC punching or NC bending are as much a part of this as laser cutting. ASSEMBLY SERVICES Thanks to our expertise and range of services as a specialist component manufacturer, we can also process complete assemblies, partially assembled assemblies, components, system assemblies and assembled individual components for you. A unique selling point of REINER in component assembly is the vertical range of manufacture, which starts with the sketch plan if required. Therefore, we have positioned ourselves at the top where our core competences lie.» Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM): In 1969, we bought our first electrical discharge machine, which has been the foundation for our most important core capability. EDM very soon proved to be one of the promising new key technologies in metalworking. We have continually expanded our experience in die sinking and wire EDM and, these days, count ourselves amongst the leading contract manufacturers for precise metal machining. It is not the ten machines that we productively utilise every day that are getting us further, but the very high standards of our customers for surface quality and precision forming. The advantages of EDM are: no mechanical stress to the metal piece, no limitations through hard metal grade or shape, high degree of machine autonomy, greater design possibilities at engineering level. Only an EDM-compatible design will profit from all EDM benefits – a piece of advice our customers will gladly follow. Tungsten carbide working: «It is the combination of knowledge of materials and knowledge of methods that form a basis for the skilled working of hard metal.» We have managed to form a solid base to work tungsten carbide parts efficiently by liaising intensively with the outstanding tungsten carbide manufacturer Metzger Ltd, Lotzwil/Switzerland, and by meeting the very high standards of our customers. We support our customers when it comes to choosing the right hard metal and the most suitable methods such as grinding and abrasion, polishing and extrude-honing and also provide the handling during and after the production process. Only perfectly manufactured hard metal parts will convince the customer to pay a higher unit price. Laser Machining: As with EDM, we decided early (1986) to go with this new key technology. We have been using the Nd:YAG pulsed laser (LASAG) for laser welding, cutting, drilling, marking and laser cladding. The high power pulse and high beam quality melt or vaporise nearly all known materials. Lasering is used to produce microstructures and to connect highly challenging geometrical shapes by conduction welding. The same rules apply as for EDM: only a laser-compatible design will be able to take advantage of all the benefits laser technology has to offer.
